This colourful copper ore is composed of copper iron sulphide in the form of chalcopyrite and bornite. The tarnishing process, which created the multiple colours, has been induced by treatment in acid. Peacock ore is found in Mexico, the USA and Canada. Its colours are related to the quantities of iron (red), copper (blue-green) and gold coloured pyrite and galena.

This stone of happiness and joy will help one to tune into the positive forces in life. It helps us to accept joy at any moment. Peacock ore is helpful to all the chakras and is a wonderful meditation stone.
